TVXQ and JYJ Celebrate Their 10th Debut Anniversary [★]

December 26, 2013

Exactly a decade ago, the five-member TVXQ (or also called Dong Bang Shin Ki/DBSK/TVfXQ) had their first stage as singers when they sang O Holy Night with BoA on a special Christmas presentation.

Fast forward to ten years, TVXQ has become an established and respected group, not just in the KPOP industry, but in the worldwide music scene. The group might have split into two now (with three members forming a new unit named JYJ), but obviously the fans still have their whole support for the five of them. Fans widely celebrated the ten-year anniversary of the group online by reminiscing the best moments of the group on twitter. The twitter hashtag #동방신기와10년 for the event even trended worldwide across various countries.

Good job Pinoy Cassies! ^__^

The hashtag topic also trended on other Asian countries (as expected!)

I was already anticipating that the TVXQ 10th anniversary hashtags would trend in Asian countries other than Korea because of course the group is also popular around Asia. The unexpected part is that they also trended on countries outside Asia!

This is the power of TVXQ!

I was amazed by this. They are really the leaders of the Hallyu wave. They are the one who started it, as a matter of fact. :)

It was not just the fans who expressed their happiness towards this milestone. The artists themselves - Changmin, Yunho, Junsu, Jaejoong, and Yoochun, expressed their gratitude and happiness towards the fans for their support in their career as artists.

The duo TVXQ has announced that they will be having a comeback in Korea on January 6, 2013 for their 7th album. They have released their teaser for their new song Something.

This is one of their teaser photos for the upcoming album. Notice anything peculiar on it?

Why are there three shadows?

My dear SMEnt, we know our Physics okay? There are only two people on the picture, so why is there an extra shadow on their back? I am sure this is not an innocent play of effects. I think there is a subliminal message on this for us all. I hope this is their way of acknowledging the contribution of the other three members who once were members of their group and very well helped on what the other two members have achieved today. In fact, we are celebrating the success of the group during the 10 years that they have spent in the entertainment industry, and 70% of those times are fruits of the efforts of the five-membered group.

The other three- Yoochun, Jaejoong, and Junsu, have also celebrated this day as an achievement to their career. They released a short video expressing their gratitude to their fans who stayed and supported them up to this day.

This is such a heartwarming video, I almost got teary-eyed.

Soompi also wrote a nice article about the anniversary celebration of the group.

I know fans all over the world are going all emoshinki today. Only Cassies who have stayed by their side all of those ten years will understand what the boys have went through and how the fans gave them strength during their hardest times. This is why seeing them very happy and successful today means a lot to us.

To Yunho, Changmin, Yoochun, Jaejoong, and Junsu - Happy 10th debut anniversary! Even though the hope of seeing the five of you perform as one group again has already extinguished, I am hoping you'd do well in all your aspirations in your careers. Hwaiting! :)
