As a kdramaholic, I really love it when I get to watch fresh drama episodes as they are aired in Korea. I also get to watch the latest performances of KPOP idols in music shows, and also watch my favorite Korean personalities on their appearances in various variety shows.

This journey into the pearl-sapphire-blue fandom can be considered a fairytale indeed.

Before I delve into the details of the fanmeet held by Super Junior-M here in the country (welll I don't really have much to tell, because it was my sister who had the first-hand experience of the fanmeet), let me do a review of how this fandom with them started. How did these bunch of boys, who once were nonamers to me, became my rays of sunshine and kilig for several months now?


How I Became A True Blue SuJu Fan
Like most of you perhaps, I first saw them on their Sorry, Sorry MV. You should have heard the way I dissed everything about them- the hair, the looks, even their talent. I would always compare them to my prime fandom - TVXQ (which I learned later on is an inappropriate thing to do, because each of them has their own brand of charm).

My admiration for them was sparked (and I swear this is when it all began) when NuffnangPH gave me free tickets to see their Supershow 5 here in Manila. Since then, me and my sister became fans. I learned to admire their personalities, their passion in performing, and also the love that they show to their fans. =)


The Tony Moly Hunger Games
We were already expecting something like this. When finally the information was confirmed, my sister and I got so delighted! Getting one fanmeet pass is okay, but paying for two is a bit too much. So we decided who would attend the fanmeet. Since I'm not really that head-over-heels for them, I gave the honors to my sister. And I could say this was meant for her. She was able to get a fanmeet stub from the Tony Moly branch in Alabang Town Center effortlessly through the help of some planning and doing quick and correct decisions. She was so lucky you'd think she gulped a few drops of Felix Felicis. She went home grinning from ear-to-ear with a huge haul of cosmetics and the fanmeet stub!

I decided to take driving lessons because I realized that this is a necessary and practical skill to learn. I have a friend who recently had driving lessons too and she recommended A1 Driving School to me.



I took the seven-hour course on manual car driving. That package includes:

- 7 hours of hands-on driving
- 2 hours orientation
- 8 hours of lecture

The following are my experiences throughout my lessons from them. This post was continually updated as I studied driving.


Getting Student Permit
Before getting your first lessons on driving, you have to get a student permit at the Land Transportation Office (LTO). A1 offers assistance on this with a fee of Php700, inclusive of the LTO registration fee. You will be given a schedule for the student permit. A service car will be provided and one of the A1 staff will drive you to the nearest LTO branch. Just a word of caution: arrive on time based on your schedule. Mine was at 9AM at their SM Mall of Asia branch and I was left by the service car because I arrived at 9:20AM. By then you'll have no choice but to reschedule your student permit appointment. Actually there were two of us that was left by the service car. Good thing there was still a schedule for student permit at SM Southmall at noon that day. I went to their branch there and through their asstistance, I got my student permit at LTO Las Pinas.


Before the Actual Lessons
Daisy, the receptionist at the BF Homes branch was very friendly and attentive. Before you take your actual driving lessons, you first schedule your slots with them. Though my preferred times were rescheduled several times because it was in conflict with their Christmas and End-of-Year party, my driving lesson schedule was flattened out eventually. They would also text you a day before your schedule to remind you of your appointment with them.
