I'm trying something new here. I got this lightbulb moment just today that I wanted to do more of this on the blog because I'm obsessed with being on the know on the latest music released by artists I follow, and also by new artists that are out there for me to discover. Every week, I'll be collating fresh tracks from artists I care about, courtesy of Spotify, with the songs curated for me via the New Music Friday and New Release Radar playlists.
So here are my picks for the week!
Panic! At The Disco
Brendon Urie is back with a new song (and a new album to be released June this year). Two tracks are available now, the other one entitled (Fuck A) Silver Lining. The one-man band is having a US tour soon. Can you please include Manila in your tour? I swooned when I saw him live in the In The Mix 2016 concert. I just can't get enough of Brendon. 💓 (reference: billboard.com)
Vanessa Carlton
Yaaas! My ultimate artist has released new song! Her last album was Liberman which was released 3 years ago. This track is actually a cover song, a few octaves lower, compared to the original song by Robyn. Carlton promises this is 1/6 of the covers she'll be releasing for the year. David Guetta, Sia
The French DJ and the Australian singer are back with another hit song (well the last one I've known from them was Titanium) which has such inspiring lyrics. If you are having a bad day and needs something to perk you up , blast this track on your speakers and hear Sia's words of encouragement.
Vanilla Acoustic
Hey it's been a while since I listened to some KPOP, and sure thing this track caught my attention. I've always loved Vanilla Acoustic songs, and I'm just glad they are still creating new music today. The music is just perfect because it's Spring already in South Korea!
Yeng Constantino
Yeng, for me, is one of the most exceptional Filipino female artists we have currently. She sang this song so emotionally, I was moved. Maybe because this is my current battlecry? 😅Whichever, this song sure struck some chords within me.
