Q2 2024 Goals Setting & Steps

This is a new method of setting goals that I learned from Ali Abdaal's Feel-Good Productivity book. I am excited to apply this for my goal setting process moving forward!

🏢WORK

Mission. Volunteer for a cause (blood-donation + Red Cross training)
Why is it important? This will give me a sense of fulfillment because I am giving back to the community

Actionable Items:
  1. Add to calendar the scheduled activity ✅
  2. Research and inform myself about these activities ✅
  3. Document on the blog my experience and learnings

Money. Process reimbursements
Why is it important? I will get back money that belongs to me. 🤑

Actionable Items:
  1. Read the emails
  2. Prep the documents
  3. Schedule processing the papers

Growth. Study for that event
Why is it important? I will gain knowledge and confidence to push through with that activity.

Actionable Items:
  1. Create an outline for the session
  2. Read and research
  3. Schedule on the calendar the activities planned

🧘‍♀️HEALTH

Body. Reduce weight
Why is it important? For my health, to maintain the quality of life that I have, even improve it for the better. It's also that I can have a boost in my self-confidence. 🤗

Actionable Items:
  1.  No rice at night (first week)
  2. Veggies and fruits in every meal (second week)
  3. Exercise on the indoor bike (third week)

How to track progress: daily checkin (habit tracker) and weekly weigh in

Mind. Regular piano practice
Why is it important? This activity serves as mental exercise for me. I want to maintain a sharp mind so I can function efficiently at work and in my personal life.

Actionable Items: 
  1. Select pieces / songs to study
  2. Schedule activity in calendar
  3. Publish post with recording of the performance

Soul. Regular meditation and journaling
Why is it important? So that I can have a healthier relationship with myself; to be able to process my emotions and learn from the lessons, and most importantly, to preserve my sanity. 😆

  3. Use the Moonly app to discover guided meditations and positive affirmations ✅

💗RELATIONSHIPS

Romance. Research about dating in your 30s
Why is it important? Since I have no experience on this (😅), I'll need to equip myself with the knowledge and skills in navigating "the market". 

Actionable Items:
  1. Find references on the topic 
  2. Talk to friends and ask for their opinion /guidance
  3. Reflect on the things I want from a relationship so that I have clarity on what I would look out for when I start dating.

Family. Organize summer outing 🏆
Why is it important? I want to create happy memories with them.
