LANY @ Glorietta: First Stop of #LANYLiveAtAyalaMalls Series

Saturday, August 05, 2017

The process that I had to go through to get hold of those LANY tickets and see the band live was no joke -- I had to go to the Glorietta 4 cinema booth twice to get the GCs, fall in line for 6 hours at the Palma Drive concierge of Glorietta 2 to claim the ticket stub, and finally wait for 2 hours at the activity center area on the concert day itself. ๐Ÿ˜ซ

Les Priest is wearing a cap with LANY written in Hangul (๋ ˆ์ด๋‹ˆ). Cool!
Well, I actually could have saved myself from all the hassle if I just decided to watch them from the sides of the barricade or the isles of the mall, because well it was an open show anyway. The tickets were just for those who want to be close to the stage during the show.

If you are an avid concert-goer, you'd know that the "pit area" is the best place to be because that's where the action is. That's generally where the artist's attention is and that's where the fans dance and jump around with the music. This is why I really pushed myself to get hold of those tickets. Well, I must say, it's all worth the effort.

Aside from the excitement because of LANY, I was doubly giddy that night because it was my first time to use my Lumix camera in a concert! I had high expectations, so I was excited to finally see my new toy in action! ๐Ÿ˜† I'm still new with some of the functions so I had to do several practice shots to get the right setup for the show. Finally when I was able to properly focus the camera to the microphone on stage (which Paul later on smothered his lips all over while singing ๐Ÿ˜›), I knew I finally got the settings right!

And the show finally starts!

The only disadvantage of being in the pit area -- there are lots of obstructions in viewing the stage! (heads, hands, cameras) ๐Ÿ˜“Well good thing I still was able to take photos of LANY on stage (mostly Paul only huhu I'm so sorry Les. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ). I must say --- I am so happy with this camera!

You can just feel all the love from the crowd, as everyone sang along to their songs! Paul's voice was so serene. ๐Ÿ’“ I had this impression that there were heavy vocal effects on their record, but well apparently he sounded the same live.

It was roughly a one-hour set, and we were asking for more. Unfortunately, no encore for us. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

This is Paul during the last applause before they finally said goodbye and went offstage.
He has this glimmer of gratitude in his eyes. *sigh* ๐Ÿ˜

This was their first show in a series of stops that the band will do across Ayala Malls in the metro.

Finally, I got to see them live (after missing their show Wanderland Fest earlier this year).

I felt it. I loved it. ๐ŸŒน
