Our destination is the Sariwon Korean Restaurant located at Bonifacio Global City. I'm somewhat familiar with the place already but I have no idea where to find this restaurant. This is when Google Maps came in handy! However, I got a bit frustrated because the pointer in the map did not accurately show where the restaurant was. We had to look around a bit to finally see where Sariwon was.

This is what's displayed on the Google Maps on my phone. Apparently, Sariwon Korean Restaurant is located somewhere within the black oblong.

We didn't have any reservation but the crew was kind enough to accommodate us. We arrived there at past 6PM and they have this one table still reserved at 8PM so they gave us that table. Yay!

Rey and Mel, while waiting for our food. :D

It was all our first time in that restaurant so we didn't really know what to order. We decided to try this set.

This set came with a bottomless iced tea. :D

This is where they would place the meat and cook it in front of us.

Let's review their songs!

It's located at the Alphaland Makati Place Mall, which is just walking distance from our office. It was my teammates who actually discovered the restaurant. I was not with them the first time they tried it because I had packed lunch with me. I heard lots of positive feedback from them so I was encouraged to try it out also. It turns out that the place is very nice. This is the kind of a restaurant where you won't be shy to take your boss with you. xD

their mouth-watering menu

If you are unfamiliar on the proper way to eat Korean food, especially their samgyeopsal (삼곂살) / grilled korean pork belly, they have instructions on the table. :D

LINE, a social application available in iOS and Android, does not only have fun chat features, it also has lots of awesome games! The games have been widely loved by users that the download statistics reached a total of 250 million hits worldwide!

I have only used the app mostly for chat so when I heard of this news, I wanted to try out the games.

LINE Go! Go! Go!

This is too slow to be downloaded... 86 parts to go? :O

LINE Go! Go! Go! is a racing game bundled with lots of extra missions to accomplish (collect coins, avoid obstacles, overtake the rival car). This game is the last one that I have tried among the three LINE games that is featured here because it took the longest time to be downloaded.

The game allows you to choose among different cars to be used in the race. Each one has its own powers that can be taken advantage on in the competition.

There are also extra items that can be purchased to make your car more powerful.

I am just slightly disappointed that the car, while on the race, is controlled via touching the arrow buttons on both sides of the screen. rather than the motion sensor of the phone. It would have been more fun with the latter one.

LINE Cookie Run

Cookie Run kind of reminds me of the old games that I play on my Nintendo Game Boy console, except that the character on this game is continuously running so the ←↑→↓ buttons aren't necessary anymore.

Instead of those buttons, there's a Jump and A Slide button on both sides of the screen that does what the name states.

This is the game that I enjoyed the most, because it features familiar faces - the LINE gang which includes James, Cony, Brown, Sally and Moony among others.

The goal of the game is to catch the culprit that took your boss' valuables.

There's also a tutorial phase that is very easy to follow.

You can also make your character dress up different costumes, which is also bundled with a lot of additional features.

Now I understand why a lot of people download these games. It's so easy and fun to play! If you haven't tried playing the games, I recommend you do, especially the Party One app. ^____^

Don't get me wrong with that title above. I adore Google. This is why I chose having the Nexus 5 over that widely-anticipated iPhone 5. But of course there will always be something that will not be your cup of tea, and for me that's the auto back up feature of Google Photos on my Android phone.

This is actually a brilliant feature, because it secures copies of newly-created photos that I have from my Android phone as Google Photos back it up via the web. However, the catch here is that it also downloads ALL the other existing photos that you uploaded via your Google Account. This might work for light users as they get to see all their photos straight from their phone, but for me it is a nightmare. I maintain this blog and with the hundreds of posts that I have written for this site goes hundreds more of photos for each of them. The last time I checked I have 900+ photos now in the blog. Imagine downloading all of those photos into your phone!!! (,,#ﾟДﾟ)

I think I am not the only one irked with this as there exists hundreds of posts of tutorials on how to turn off that auto backup feature (like this one from Lifehacker). The photos obviously would eat up lots of space in your mobile storage, and not all people would be happy with that.

My solution for this is to just log off from the Google account associated with the photos I wanted to get rid off, then log in again, unchecking the auto-sync for the photos from that account. Another one is to create a new account and sync your phone photos there.

My gallery is clean now. I don't think I would be using that feature for my blog account. I have now learned from that mistake. xD

It's summer already! Can you already feel the heat? This only means one thing - it's time to hit the beach! :D

Summer has really come our way as Nestea launched Nestea Beach 2014 at an exclusive media event last April 1 at the Antel Hotel in Makati.

The venue felt like a poolside party so we were asked to wear something summer-y and ready to plunge at the beach!

Guests from the media were treated with a massage, snacks, and drinks while being rocked by the music by DJ Katsy Lee on board. :D

This is me enjoying a back massage. xD

Drinks with a Nestea twist were available during the event. I tried the Mojito!

DJ Katsy Lee rockin the party! :D

Bianca Valerio hosted the event

I was able to meet fellow Nuffnangers in the event! I'm so happy to finally meet some of them. :)

my loot: an O+ phone (photo contest prize), limited edition nestea tumbler, beach bag, nestea honey lemon juice packs, and media press kit

I love astronomy so it was an instant yes when I read about the invite. It's a plus also that I was familiar with the venue (The Mind Museum at Taguig) and that the launch will start on a very convenient time for me. Going there alone is one of my least worries, though I admit I was anxious because this was my first blogging event and I really don't know what to expect.

the media launch venue

This is why when I saw that the venue is a standing cocktail party, I was surprised.

I helped myself on some cocktail and chocolates! (＃´ー´)旦

ONE WITH THE MEDIA -- my fellow attendees at the launch. It's legit! I'm one of them now! ヽ(*≧ω≦)ﾉ
