Goodbye 2018, Hello 2019!

January 01, 2019

I would have to admit, 2018 taught me to be self-reliant and independent, and I would not do it any other way. My soul grew old because of valuable lessons I learned along the way.

I think I've reached the point where I questioned myself why I'm maintaining this blog for so long. Why am I spending so much time and effort curating these articles, spending several hours of my life doing drafts for each post, editing and revising each of them? These doubts that I felt reflected on my output this year, as 2018 is the year I published the least number of posts since I started this blog in 2011. Well my old self gave me the answer as I read again that post I was saving to be published in the future (one day you will read it here, but honestly I hope you won't as it only means one thing if that post finally gets published). I was reminded what brought me here and why I should keep this going. I have been blogging for 7 years now. That's a huge milestone. I want to continue doing this, so I have to thank my old self for reminding me of the purpose of this blog. 😊

My mind was set to do great things that year, but I have to say I haven't done what I wanted to do. I have 2 years to accomplish that. The first half of my goal would culminate early this year, and I pray to the Universe that my plans would happen. smoothly

Getting some unexpected awards from my team stuck to me more than anyone might have thought. Receiving the SuiteAnswers award (meaning I was the go-to person when my teammates had questions) was greatly appreciated as I enjoy helping out my team in any way I'm capable of. But the Ms. Congeniality award? Where did that come from? Do any of you know the real me? 😈 Well I guess they don't, thus this recognition. It's amusing how people view you versus the real you. I guess I'll have to continue to play along. Also if I'm not mistaken, I also heard my name as nominee for Best Dressed, like really? 🙄

I would just have to say I'm just thankful because I reached 2019 in a good state, healthy and all. I have my family (we even have an additional angel!) and I also have my cat who I love very much (she gave birth to 4 adorable kittens!). I got to comfortably splurge for myself in ways I wouldn't able to do before.  With these, I am grateful enough.

For 2019, I pray to the Universe for good health in all aspects (physical, mental, emotional), courage to face challenges, and good judgment to always pick the right choices.

Cheers to 2019! 🍷
