FIRST POST OF THE YEAR!

Happy new year to all! :D The year 2012 has been very good to me, and I'm hoping 2013 will be the same too, even become a better one than the last.

This year, I want to focus a little bit more on my goals. With that, I am starting the year with one of them, one that I was not able to work on in the past years. But now that I have the instrument (at last!), I don't really have any excuse to lax. I need to work hard for this!

My goal really is to become a good pianist, good enough to play on special events and occasions (church services, weddings, formal gatherings). I haven't had any formal training (just yet) on playing the piano and I know I need to get one. So far it's all self-study for me. Here are my covers of two very easy piano pieces that any piano beginner can learn playing.

I think I already know some of the foundations of music (like note reading) and now I want to learn more on the techniques on how to play well, especially maintaining a constant tempo throughout a song. Also, correct finger positions is another problem for me. I have to work on that. d(=^･ω･^=)b

Good thing there's Youtube. I guess I would be watching some tutorials there to improve my playing techniques some more. Send me some luck. Aja! :D
