I am just venting out my frustration over my (MULTIPLE) attempts to root my Wildfire S. There are lots and lots of tutorials online for this, but so far I am stucked with the step of setting the phone to S-Off, which would allow further modifications in the ROM of the device. Unfortunately, there are no working method for this yet. I think using XTC Clip is the only way to do this. Still, developers are not giving up in figuring this thing out. (HURRAY TO THEM!)
So far, the following are the methods that I tried to do, but did not work on my phone:
htcsupertoolv3
revolutionary (hboot version not supported!)
SuperOneClick
Froot
simonshtcutility_gui
After going through these methods, I'm now left with a factory reset phone and a freshly reformatted SD card. *sigh* I guess I'll just spend the rest of this night reinstalling all my apps and restoring my files in the SD card. Good thing I've got a backup.

I love weekends. Most people will have the same opinion as me, I am 100% sure of that. With a lifestyle of a five day work and a two day rest, I really treasure those 48 hours of being free to do whatever I want, especially because my field of work always just requires me to stare at my computer the whole day coding bugs and programs away. It's nice to do something different from that. As much as I want to go out during weekends, I would always prefer the comfort of home especially because this is the opportunity to do some "me time", and to bond with my family. :D
Weekend is my time to:
Hit the Books
Since there's not much time every weekday, I do my catching up on my to-read list every weekend. It relaxes me because it takes me to a place where all the rules of this world can be broken. By the way, I pledged to read at least 10 books for this year to challenge myself to finish everything from my list. :)

Along the road of life, sometimes we need a break and just slow down and smell the flowers around, think less and look at life in a frivolous way, but still learn the meaning of life.
Earlier this year, two books helped me laugh out and relax a bit amid the stress of my young adult life - The Best of Chico, Delamar & Gino's The Morning Rush Top 10 Book 2 and Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo? These two novelty books have this common approach of looking at the funny side of life and addressing problems in a not-so-serious way.
The Best of Chico, Del and Gino's The Morning Rush Top 10 Book 2
This morning radio show of three of the best jocks around has gone a long way in entertaining people they call "rushers" in coping every morning's stress in, may it be, going to school, to work, or just traveling in the early hours of the morning. This book is the second installment of the best topics that they've had on-air.

It was during my brother's wedding yesterday that I noticed something interesting upon looking up in the sky. Apparently, the half-moon is currently only a few degrees apart from Jupiter.
This is the best shot I've taken with my camera, with settings:
And this is how Stellarium projected it.
I am always amused with lunar conjunctions. I am so glad I got to snap an image of this. :D Moon and Jupiter will be close to each other for the coming few nights, and it would be nice to observe this. :D Ad astra per aspera!

Just recently, idol-singer-turned-actor Park Yoochun (박유천) concluded the drama I Miss You with actress Yoon Eun-hye (윤은혜), with him playing as the leading man. Being a JYJ fan that I am, I really looked forward into watching the drama. However, the moment that I realized that it was a heavy drama genre, I hesitated to watch it. I just wanted some light drama, exactly like that of the romantic comedy Rooftop Prince, another drama starring Yoochun.
However, I received so many positive reviews from friends about IMY. News also said that the drama topped most of the viewing ratings in Korea. With that, I decided to give this drama a chance. But just with the first episode, I was mortified. There were blood and tears on every scene. I nearly gave up watching it. However, a really good friend of mine insisted that it's actually good. I scanned some of the episodes and then I began to like Yoon Eun-hye's fashion statement in this drama (apparently she plays a role of a fashion designer here). So now I decided to watch the drama to get some fashion tips! :D
Check out the cute clothes that I spotted that Yoon Eun-hye wore in the drama.

The progress in technology has gone so far over the past century that it has made our current world seem like a smaller place to live in. You can communicate with anyone anywhere in the world through the world wide web and have real-time updates from a country even if you are actually situated on the other side of the globe.
Through this kind of hi-tech communication, making friends around the globe is now made possible and way way easier!
If you have a smart phone (Android/iOS), you might be interested to try Doki Doki Postbox and Kakao Talk. These are both available in Google Play and in Apple Store. Using these applications is one easy way to find a friend (mostly from Korea and Japan).
Doki Doki Postbox
This application with a very eye-candy interface has this simple functionality of finding a random penpal from around the world that you can chat with instantly. It's somehow similar to Omegle Chatbox but this one is a lot bot-free and very wholesome too.
The app has the option of selecting the scope of places where your postcard will be sent. You can choose to send it to local app users only or to anyone in the world. You can also specify your preferred gender (male, female, both).

Travel to Korea in Kpop/KDrama Style: A Fangirl's Guide to Conquering the Land of the Hallyu Wave [★]
February 11, 2013
I really want to visit Korea. This is like one of my greatest dreams. I have come to love kpop and kdramas for the last half decade and visiting the country where it all came from would be one huge accomplishment for me! This is why when me and my sister heard of this book entitled 'Travel to Korea in KPOP/KDRAMA Style', we really anticipated its release to see what it has in store for us. We waited for almost a month for the book launch, and finally it's here!!

It's no surprise to Jaejoong fans that our most loved singer is back with a new image. He has crossed to the genre of rock, fulfilling all the fantasies of us Cassies! Heck, I am more in love with him! (´ε` )♡ If in case you have missed the latest buzz about the hottest male artist of the kpop industry (he was recognized as such by the Philippine KPOP awards), here's a glimpse into his new music video.
On January 16, a new music video was released for Jaejoong's new single "Mine" coming from his first solo mini album "I". Mine is one rocking song that has a feel of angst but also sadness in it. We see a whole new image of Jaejoong because of the rock genre that he's embracing now.
