I have been wanting to take my sister to a Korean restaurant for the longest time because I want her to try the cuisine, especially samgyupsal. We are both fangirls of the Korean culture and since she haven't tried the food, we searched for nearby Korean restaurants in the Metro to try out some.
We aimed for Woori-gohyang initially. However, it was closed when we went there. So as an alternative, we looked for other restaurants and my sister was the one who discovered Matgalne restaurant. :D

Just walking distance from Buenda cor Makati Avenue, Matgalne is located along the Kalayaan Avenue. They also have another branch in Ortigas (though I am not sure exactly where).
The restaurant caters unlimited servings of banchan (반찬/ Korean side dishes) and samgyupsal (삼겹살/ pork belly) for only P399. When we visited, there was an ongoing lunch buffet promo so we only paid P299 for unlimited samgyupsal and side dishes.

The side dishes are served buffet-style while the pork belly cuts are served when requested (or when the waiters notice that you are not cooking anything anymore xD).
My sister and I happily enjoyed our buffet. We ate generous servings of vegetables and pork belly. We didn't eat rice, but we were able to fill up our hunger because of the side dishes. And I loved their samgyupsal.
I am planning to bring my friends here again. They are also into Korean cuisine and I want to know their opinion on the food. Looking forward to my second visit! :D
Note:
If you are visiting on a weekend, place a reservation first because they don't entertain walk-ins (unless there are tables already available).
